Dr. Kahn has maintained an avid interest in health and nutrition for many years with a strong emphasis on plant-based foods. From an early age he began to explore the relationship between the foods we eat and their impact on disease, the environment, and emotional well-being. Traditional medicine works well for acute medical conditions, but lacks a useful approach to chronic illnesses, behavioral health, and prevention so he founded Wellness Health Medicine LLC.
Dr. Kahn obtained his medical degree at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, his residency in Internal Medicine at ChristianaCare and his medical informatics training at Harvard/ Massachusetts General Hospital. He obtained additional certification in Lifestyle Medicine Coach through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, is a Wellcoaches certified health and wellness coach, and Harvard CHEF certified culinary coach.
It is estimated that 80% of the most common chronic diseases can be prevented by improvements in lifestyle.
